Just to let you know – we have been working on some additions to the www.DiveCrew.org web-site.
The first new area is PHOTOS – photo galleries where you can peruse other folks’ pictures (can you peruse pictures ?) and upload your own. There are no strict rules here – but maybe we should try and keep these “on color” – as opposed to “off color”. If you want to upload pictures create a “nested album” to group your snaps together. When you click on the PHOTOS link you will be asked for username and password – these will be the same as the Dive Crew Calendar login.
The second new area is FORUMS – these are public (just to the Dive Crew, that is) message forums where Jen/Ed can post messages that will be retained on line – as opposed to the mailing list where there is no archive. There are other areas where everyone can have a dialog, too. I created an area for Dive Comm show people to exchange stories about interesting (or goofy) questions that they field during the Q&A. If you think of other sections that would be useful send me an email and I will create them. To access the FORUMS use the same username and password as the calendar. If you want to post a message you will need to REGISTER to the forum software by creating your own login. It will then require 2 logins (I know – what a pain). You should see a REGISTER link at the top of the page.
Please let me know if you have any questions. This, as all of our Dive Crew work, is strictly volunteer so you can expect Tech Support accordingly – at least you know it won’t be coming from another continent.
